As you may already know, the Aerovelo Atlas successfully met all the key requirements of the Sikorsky Human Powered Helicopter prize on June 13th, 2013. The team overcome considerable adversity and challenges, including the failure of the airframe in a spectacular fashion, not once, but twice.

The team has now moved on to their next challenge, namely the production and racing of a human powered bicycle to achieve the human powered land speed record.
And we’re pretty sure that they will make it!
