RCAF CF-18 flying the 2014 Demonstration colours
It’s getting to be Airshow season around here. The start of June usually means the start of the nicer weather and the start of Airshows in the GTHA region.
Unfortunately, one of my favourite shows, the Waterloo Airshow, was cancelled this year. It was a great opportunity to get up close and personal to get some great images of aircraft participating in the show. The viewing area was literally a stones throw from the taxiway and it was a great vantage point for capturing great shots.
The image above is a processed image of the RCAF Demonstration CF-18. It’s alway neat to get a decent image of this CF-18 as it really stresses your technical skills to get a sharp image of this aircraft.
There are a number of local Airshows around still.
I check http://www.milavia.net/airshows/calendar/showdates-2015-north_america.html for the 2015 listings to see where we might go next.
And I always show up for the Canadian International Airshow around Labour Day. I might just see you there.
Get out there and start shooting.
