I don’t that anyone would be surprised if I predicted that rules around the use of UAVs are going to get tougher here in Canada.<\/p>\n

Increased concerns around privacy, training of pilots, and interference with manned aircraft have the government worried about how to manage the runaway (figuratively and literally) drone industry. Training and certification look to be an important part of their new \u201crisk management\u201d approach to small UAVs…<\/p>\n

Seeing the writing on the wall, our team of pilots have been looking to enhance our piloting skills with UAV Ground school, and found one that exceeds the requirements TC has published in their current document, TP 15263 \u2013 Knowledge Requirements for Pilots of Unmanned Air Vehicle Systems (UAV) 25 kg or Less, Operating within Visual Line of Sight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

We found a very knowledgeable team at aerobotika<\/a>.  They offer a comprehensive 2.5 day ground school that covers the key UAV knowledge in the above document as well as a great overview of the SFOC process with lots of tips on how to work to be successful from your first application.<\/p>\n

They also incorporate a ROC exam for Aviation radio, which is one of the key requirement by TC.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking for a knowledgeable outfit to get your UAV ground school papers, I’d strongly recommend this team.<\/p>\n
